The passing of Drew Belt, who was 35 years old at the time of his death, took place on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at the mansion that he had constructed in Atlanta, Missouri. In the year 2006, Cedric graduated from Macon High School with his high school diploma, and in the year 2010, he graduated from the University of Missouri with his high school diploma. He was a baseball player at Lincoln University, where he also garnered all conference honors during his time there. In addition, he attended Lincoln University for his doctoral studies.

Cedric was a member of the First Christian Church in Macon, where he participated in a wide range of volunteer activities. These activities included serving as a deacon, working as a camp counselor, and participating on mission trips. He worked the land as a row crop farmer alongside his father, and he also managed a cow-calf operation out of the agricultural property. His parents, his sister Millicent, his brother-in-law Adam Dawdy, his nephew Pace, his grandmother Phyllis Belt and his grandfather Jerry Hunter of Warsaw, his aunts Rachelle Hunter, Ellen Winkler, Susan McCarty, Julia Barry, and Sara Howes, and his other extended family members are among those who are left behind.

His parents are the only members of his immediate family who have survived. Prior to his own passing, his great-grandmothers Hazel Belt, Louise Stroup, and Mary Hunter, as well as his grandfather Ronald Belt and grandmother Nellie Skinner, all passed away. Roberta McVicker, his aunt, also passed away at the same time. When it came to other people, Cedric was a great being who had the ability to always see the best in them.
