On Wednesday, the 20th of December, 2023, Dave departed from this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Dave was not only a beloved husband but also a best friend to Anne, sharing a bond that withstood the tests of time and stood as a beacon of unwavering love.
His devotion to Anne was evident in every aspect of their lives, a testament to the strength of their connection. As a father, Dave was a source of guidance, support, and unconditional love to Louisa. His role in her life was not merely paternal but that of a cherished mentor and confidant.
Charles, Louisa’s husband, found in Dave a father figure who embraced him as a beloved son. Dave’s pride in his family was illuminated by the joy he found in his granddaughter, Maeva. His interactions with her were filled with warmth and adoration, shaping beautiful memories that will endure through generations.
Among his relatives, Dave held a special place as a loved brother to Ronald. Their bond was fortified by shared experiences, laughter, and the unbreakable ties of sibling affection. Dave’s absence will create a void not only in his immediate family but also among his extended relatives, who will deeply feel the loss of a cherished brother-in-law and uncle.
The celebration of Dave’s life will be commemorated at Carlisle Crematorium on Friday, the 5th of January, 2024, at 1:00 pm. It is an occasion not only to bid farewell but also to honor the impact he had on the lives of many. All friends are cordially invited to join in paying respects to a remarkable individual whose presence touched numerous hearts.
In honoring Dave’s memory, the family kindly requests that only floral tributes from the family be presented. For those who wish to make contributions in Dave’s honor, donations to the Eden Valley Hospice, where Dave found solace in his final days, would be greatly appreciated.
