Derek Chauvin Stabbing; Derek Chauvin Was Stabbed 22 Times In Federal Prison Attack – The world obits

Derek Chauvin Stabbing – An improvised knife was used by the inmate who stabbed former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin in federal prison last week, according to recently filed criminal charges. Chauvin was stabbed a total of 22 times. Additionally, he admitted to the corrections officers that he would have killed Chauvin if they had not responded as quickly as they did. The alleged offender has been identified as John Turscak, who is 52 years old, according to the United States Attorney’s Office. An attempt at murder, assault with the intent to commit murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, and assault resulting in serious bodily injury are the charges that have been brought against him at this time.

After being stabbed in a federal prison one week ago, Chauvin sustained severe injuries; the charging documents indicate that the stabbing took place in the law library of the Federal Correctional Institution in Tucson, Arizona. Chauvin was taken to the hospital because of his injuries. At the moment, Chauvin is serving his sentence there, which makes him 22 years old. For the murder of George Floyd, which occurred during an arrest in May of 2020, the former law enforcement officer was found guilty.

According to a source who spoke with WCCO earlier this week, Chauvin was taken to the hospital after the attack, but his condition was reported to be stable despite his hospitalization. Turscak allegedly told investigators that he attacked Chauvin on Black Friday, which is the day after Thanksgiving, as a symbolic connection to the Black Lives Matter movement and the “Black Hand” symbol associated with the Mexican Mafia gang, according to the Associated Press. Prosecutors have stated that Turscak’s statement was confirmed by the prosecutors.

A thirty-year sentence has been handed down to Turscak for the crimes that he committed while he was a member of that Mexican Mafia gang. Turscak, on the other hand, told FBI agents that despite the fact that he had been considering assaulting Chauvin for a month due to the fact that Chauvin is a high-profile inmate, he denied wanting to kill him. This is in contrast to what the corrections officers reported.
