Elvira Lopez, born in Elgin on January 12, 1937, was a beloved member of the community. She shared 41 happy years of marriage with her best friend, Mike Lopez, and together they welcomed their daughter, Sandra Kay Lopez. Elvira dedicated her working years to the local Sewing Factory, showcasing her talent as a seamstress. Even after retiring, she continued to sew at home for the public, demonstrating her remarkable skill until just two weeks ago.

Renowned for her ability to repair and mend clothing, Elvira leaves behind a legacy of craftsmanship and care. Her primary passion in life was her family, especially her daughter and granddaughters. She was the pillar of strength for her loved ones. Elvira was an active member of the St. Mary Catholic Church and had been a cherished resident of Dublin for an impressive 72 years.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made In Memory of Sister Elvira to Calvary Fellowship Church in Dublin. This thoughtful gesture will honor her memory and contribute to a cause close to her heart.

Elvira Lopez’s impact on the community and her family will be profoundly missed. As we gather to celebrate her life, let us remember the love, warmth, and skill she brought to the lives of those around her. Our condolences go out to the Lopez family, and we hope they find solace in the memories they shared with Elvira.
