Tully embraced the Christian faith as a Baptist, and his life reflected the values of compassion, kindness, and genuine care for those around him. Described as a simple man, Tully’s priorities were clear – family came first, followed closely by cherished friendships. His love was boundless, and he wished nothing but the best for all those he held dear.
To honor Tully’s wishes for simplicity, the family invites friends, relatives, and loved ones to gather and celebrate his life on Thursday, December 28, starting at 6:00 pm. The informal gathering will take place at Burns Funeral Home, providing a warm and inviting space for sharing memories, visiting, and reflecting on a life well lived.
Tully was preceded in death by his beloved wife, JoAnn Hiller Wells, his parents James Tully and Iris Wells Jr., and his brother Terry Wells. Despite the profound losses he endured, Tully’s resilient spirit and unwavering love for family and friends remained steadfast.
Left to cherish Tully’s memory are his two sons, J.T. (Kim) Wells and Josh (Tori) Wells, along with their respective children – Jaxon, Teagon, Dakota, and Tristan. Tully’s sister, Kittye Wells, stands beside the family in remembrance. Additionally, his grand dogs, Riley and Ember, were part of the extended family that brought joy and companionship into Tully’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Big Bend Hospice, a meaningful tribute to Tully’s memory that supports a cause close to his heart. All arrangements and directions for commemorating Tully’s life are under the thoughtful guidance of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
