St. Augustine Lighthouse Suicide – An incident involving suicide has resulted in the closure of the St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum; who is the person who jumped from the St. Augustine Lighthouse? On Saturday, December 2, 2023, the St. Augustine Lighthouse & Maritime Museum made the announcement that the establishment will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, December 2-3. “The St. Augustine Lighthouse and Maritime Museum will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, December 2-3,” the museum officials said.

Both the Lighthouse Illuminations and the Dark of the Moon Ghost Tours have been canceled for those dates as well. According to a post that was made on social media by the company, “The Museum will resume normal operation hours on Monday, December 4.” This announcement was made without the company providing any explanation as to why it was made. On the other hand, there are multiple reports that state that there was an incident involving a “jumper” at the Lighthouse.It has been reported that a person committed suicide by jumping from the building.

Due to the fact that the investigation is still ongoing, additional information regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident was not immediately released. An active and operational lighthouse, the St. Augustine Light Station is located in St. Augustine, Florida. It is a navigational aid that is actively maintained by private individuals. The present-day lighthouse, which was constructed between the years 1871 and 1874, can be found at the northernmost point of Anastasia Island.
