He contributed his skills as an Electrician to Paramount Coal, where he left an indelible mark with his hard work and passion for his craft. Beyond his professional pursuits, Michael found solace and joy in the intricate world of collecting model trains, a passion that brought him endless delight.
The embrace of family was paramount to Michael. He rejoiced in the companionship of his beloved wife of 31 years, Patricia Blackson, who stood by his side through life’s myriad adventures. Alongside Patricia, his mother, Helen Blackson of St. Paul, Virginia, provided enduring love and support, nurturing his spirit throughout the years.
Michael’s legacy lives on through the lives of his children and stepchildren, each a testament to his love and guidance. His son, Michael S. Blackson, accompanied by Chrissy, resides in Virginia, while his daughter, Kelly Elliott, alongside John, calls Knoxville, Tennessee, home.
