The small town of Olney, Illinois is mourning the loss of Nicole Reneah (Troyer) Pedigo, 33, who passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 18 at her home. Nicole leaves behind her beloved children, 6-year-old Lane and 4-year-old Kenley, as well as her heartbroken father, siblings, extended family and countless friends.

Nicole was born on January 19, 1990 in Richland County, Illinois to David and Debbie (Hancock) Troyer. Friends and family remember her most for her bubbly personality, passion for glitz and glamour, and immense love for her children.

“Anyone who knows Nicole can sum up her entire life in two words: Lane and Kenley,”said childhood friend Melissa Gray.“When she became a mother, her whole world revolved around them.”

Nicole is actively involved in her children’s lives, regularly volunteering for their sports teams and activities. She also likes to document their lives through photos. Melissa estimates her social media account contains more than 10,000 photos of Lane and Kenley over the years.

Nicole is survived by her children Lane and Kenley Pedigo; Father David Troyer; siblings Marilyn Troyer, Chad Troyer and wife Danyelle, Rusty Troyer and wife Amanda, Ryan Troyer and wife Michelle; 11 nieces and nephews; and extended relatives. She was preceded in death by her mother Debbie.

The visit will be held on the dayThursday, December 21 from 4:00-7:00 p.minKistler-Patterson Funeral Homeat 212 North Walnut Street in Olney. Nicole’s funeral will take place the next day,Friday, December 22 at 10:00 am, also at the funeral home.

Friends describe Nicole as one of a kind, always ready to listen or share a laugh. Her niece, Paige Troyer, 20, shared how her aunt Nicole helped her through her difficult teenage years.

“She taught me how to love myself when I was struggling,” Paige wrote. “Nicole is my biggest cheerleader and a role model for confidence. I will carry it with me forever.”

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Lane and Kenley Pedigo Education Fund to support Nicole’s children in school and beyond. Donations can be made in person through any First Financial Bank location. Notes, photos and condolences for the family may also be sent to Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home.

While her devastating loss leaves a huge hole for all those who loved her, Nicole’s vivacious spirit lives on through the memories of beautiful times shared and her two lives. the young life that she loved so much. May her memory be a blessing to baby Lane and Kenley as they grow up without a loving mother.
