Born in Oswego to the late Paul and Rita Stanley, Paul leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and a life well-lived. Paul’s educational journey began at St. Paul’s School, and he later graduated from Oswego Catholic High School with the Class of 1973.

His commitment to education mirrored his dedication to other aspects of his life, and it set the foundation for the remarkable journey that lay ahead. Professionally, Paul was associated with Miller’s and later retired from Huhtamaki, where he left an indelible mark through his hard work and commitment. Colleagues remember him as a diligent and reliable individual, always ready to take on challenges with a positive attitude. Beyond his professional life, Paul was an avid cyclist and weightlifter, showcasing a passion for an active and healthy lifestyle.

His love for the open road was evident in his fondness for riding in his Corvettes, an activity that brought him joy and a sense of freedom. Whether cycling through the scenic routes or lifting weights to stay fit, Paul embraced life with vigor and enthusiasm. A devoted family man, Paul found immense joy in the company of his loved ones. Married for 44 years to the former Susan Johnson, he built a life full of shared experiences and cherished moments. Their union blessed them with a daughter, Sara (Ian) Weiss of Winston-Salem, N.C. The family bond extended to two sisters, Rita Stanley and Mary Ann Dunsford, both of Syracuse, along with a mother-in-law, Joan “Corky” Johnson, and nieces and nephews who held a special place in Paul’s heart.
