A beloved son, brother and friend,Quinton Paul Perry, 17, of Brookville, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 16, 2023 as a result of a devastating car accident.

Described by his loved ones as a man of positive energy and innate kindness, Quinton brought light to the lives of so many who were fortunate to know him. Although his time on this earth was shortened, the mark he left behind will remain forever.

A senior at Brookville Area Middle/High School, Quinton has aspirations of pursuing a career in mechanical and automotive engineering after graduation. He received an acceptance letter to Global Technical Institute and was employed at Pizza Hut while finishing high school.

Quinton took his faith seriously as a member of both the Indiana Seventh-day Adventist Church and the First Church of Christ in Brookville. He approaches every aspect of life with positivity and determination, expressing goodwill to classmates, teammates, colleagues and community members.

The tragic accident cut off a promising future for Quinton. But the genuine affection felt by those in his orbit spoke to a life lived full and powerful.

With his energetic spirit and charismatic personality, Quinton has a talent for making others feel at ease. His ready smile and empathetic nature endeared him to friends and adults.

Sophomore Kayleigh Rhodes recalled movingly:

“In the short time I knew Quinton and was on the track with him, he was so kind, interested in those around him and always cracking jokes, he never failed to get everyone around him. around laughing.”

Even those who didn’t know Quinton recognized him as a beloved classmate. Even though he passed away too soon, his mark as a funny friend with a generous heart still exists.

As news of the accident that caused Quinton’s untimely death spread, an outpouring of community support poured in. Students and staff at DuBois Central Catholic High School held a “green day” in his memory. Brookville Area High School opened its doors Sunday after Quinton’s death to provide counseling resources.

On social media, students expressed deep sadness while praising Quinton’s kindness. One friend wrote: “I will miss that smile more than you know.”

Quinton leaves behind grieving parents David Rollin Perry Jr. and Jennifer Marie Mauk, stepparents Tricia Perry and Andrew Mauk, and siblings Conner, Avery, Jacob, Matthew and Danni. He was deeply loved and will be sorely missed by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins ​​and friends.
