In a tragic incident, 23-year-old Sadekra Williams, a student at the University of South Florida and resident of St. Catherine, lost her life in a multi-vehicle collision on the Mandela Highway. The unfortunate accident occurred on Saturday, December 16, 2023.

Williams was reportedly a passenger in a Mercedes when the accident happened around 5:45am. The collision resulted in heavy traffic build-up along the Mandela Highway, heading towards St Catherine.
