Perez was among the five finalists for the TUF 28 women’s featherweight division title. She won the title by a unanimous decision against Germaine de Randamie at the UFC 245 Pay Per View event on December 14, 2019.

Along with the title of the first female featherweight champion in the TUF cage, Ailin also bagged a $50K USD prize.
